Rockies loaded up...

Last weekend we loaded up the Liberty Bikes Jeep with 5 Rocky Mountains and headed out to the Kalamunda 50/50 to show them off. We had a lot of interest from a lot of very tired riders after the event, sounds like it was a pretty tough course. Congratulations to all those who finished! Also thanks to Adventure Brands for the tent and flag, Yakima for the bike carriers and Singletrack Minds for letting us set up our toys in the race village.

Bike Build: Old School Yellow Road Frame

Our good friend Chris recently mentioned that he had the old frame he used to race on in the shed and needed to make a little room, when he asked if we'd like to take a pick through his old stuff I almost wet myself on the spot. Not one to disappoint, Chris showed up with a boot full of old track racing wheels and two beautiful old frames. Since Dave is currently using a Cinelli road bike as Perth's most expensive commuter hack he decided to use a bunch of parts that used to belong to his old man to build up something to ride to work.

Jump over to our Flickr page for more shots and updates as more parts go on.
This is going to be fun...

Bike Build - Cinelli Mash

Yesterday we went about putting together this stealth Cinelli Mash.

The frame is a 58cm, wheels are Velocity P35 Rims shod with Fyxation Session 700 tyres, with black spokes and Velocity hi-flange hubs. The cranks are All-City track cranks with a 46 tooth ring. Cockpit duties are handled by an alloy track bar and stem (both black naturally) and black All-City track grips. Finish it off with a black SDG Bel Air saddle and black alloy seatpost and she's almost ready to roll. We are waiting on a black half-link chain for the drivetrain and we'll be done.

How much for this one of a kind beauty? Just $1899, bring some pedals or grab a set of All-City sealed bearing Cecil pedals while you're here, and its yours.

Proud dealer of Yakima bike carriers.

We are proud to be new dealers for Yakima bike carriers. Dave is currently testing the Hold Up 2 bike hitch mount carrier (pictured above) and the Front Loader roof top carrier (pictured below) on the Liberty Bikes Jeep.

Both carriers use retention systems that do not clamp onto the frame, which is great for carbon frames and fit bikes from 20" BMX or kids bikes to 700C road bikes and have no problems with 29ers as you can see with the front loader holding our Specialized Epic Expert Carbon 29er.
